This is a copy of our repair agreement. This is signed with every repair order that we provide during service.
Any repair that is specifically requested, such
as ‘screen repair’, will have that repair done ONLY. Not all damage can be seen
with the naked eye. If other obvious damages are found in the course of the
repair (power button not functioning, home button sticking, no wi-fi, etc),
those damages will be assessed but NOT REPAIRED. This ensures that the repairs
will be done on a timely basis and your quote remains accurate. If we have the
part in stock for additional repairs and there is allowable time, it is at the
discretion of the tech to which additional charges will be provided before work
will be done.
We do only the work that was ordered. We will
inform you if we diagnose anything additionally wrong with a device. If there
are additional issues with the device after the repair, we will provide an
estimate and can schedule an additional appointment if required; otherwise, if
there is time the tech may provide the service during the same appointment
time.
Devices can only be picked up by the customer
the ticket was created under and signed for. If you need anyone else to be
authorized, please let us know. We will not hand a device to a
friend/spouse/relative without prior authorization to do so by the agreement
signer. This keeps private data private and keeps our customer's information
secure.
Data is the responsibility of the customer. It
is the customer’s responsibility to have their data backed up. We do not reset
or erase devices unless required during the repair process. If the device is
not functional without a reset/restore to factory defaults, we will inform the
customer of the correct procedure or perform it ourselves at your request. This
procedure can take several hours and may contain additional charges.
We may not have the part required in stock at
the time of request. Appointments are made for a time when the part is in
stock. If a part is ordered it can take between 1 and 10 business days to be
delivered. If the part is rare or required import, this can extend from 2 weeks
or more in time. In some cases we offer faster shipping at additional cost.
Special order parts are non-refundable. Payment
in full for the part and service will be required prior to making the order. If
the customer chooses to cancel the order, they will be provided the part and
only the cost of labor, less 30% service fee, will be refunded. We will hold a
part for 30 days until it will be considered abandoned. The part will then be
disposed of or reclaimed for loss.
Appointments are scheduled with best result
times. If an appointment is running late, we will contact you to check if you
want to keep your appointment. This can happen as sometimes a repair has
unforeseen outcomes and require more time. You will get the same attention.
Estimates are just that and estimate. The price
may vary if the initial work order is changed due to the work required being
different. If this is the case, new pricing will be provided.
If an appointment needs to be changed, we will
call to confirm the change and allow for acceptance or cancellation. If this is
the case and you choose to cancel, we will refund any fees associated provided
they are not a special order request.
Devices may not be recoverable during repairs.
If a device ceases to function in the course of the repair, we will inform the
customer immediately Some repairs require more severe work and some we cannot
do or cannot do on site. Options will be provided. To better serve our
customers, if the repair would exceed the cost of replacement, we will stop
work immediately. Device Menders takes no responsibility, expressed or implied,
in these situations. If we take responsibility then we will complete the
repair, if possible, at no additional cost.
We do not take password or pins unless the
repair requires us to do so. We believe in security and many repairs can be
done without them.
Newer devices sometimes have serial numbers
embedded that we cannot change/replicate. Devices may have notifications
informing the customer that the repair was not done by an authorized dealer.
Specifically with newer Apple devices. We are not Apple. Some parts may be
aftermarket, some may be refurbished original. We always use the best available
parts to get the job done as well as can be. Some repairs require manufacture
repairs that we cannot provide.
All jobs will be held for 30 days from date of
contact that the work is completed. After 30 days, we will attempt final
contact to resolve any amount due. If no resolution is available or we cannot
contact you at the options provided to us (disconnected number, etc), Device
Menders reserves the right to assume ownership of the device. We will then
attempt to finalize payment in some other way, including but not limited to
selling the device. We cannot store devices indefinitely as we do not have
storage space. This will be a rare case as most repairs are done on site.
A copy of this statement and our warranty policy
are provided when repairs are dropped off. You can also request additional
copies for reference. Just ask the associate after signing.
Device menders accepts no responsibility for
working on notably lost or stolen devices. By signing this agreement, the
signer takes full responsibility for the status of the device brought in for
repair.
Device Menders does not provide services that
can be considered illegal. Services like, but not limited to, unlocking phones,
recovering accounts, etc. These services require proof of ownership and are
security features. We will work with you the best we can but this may incur
additional fees or another appointment time.
Warranty Information
This is a copy of our warranty inforation. This is provided during repairs.
We offer a 90 day labor guarantee. All labor
during a repair or service is guaranteed for 90 days from the point of
completion. If additional repairs directly related to the original service are
required, there is no additional cost for labor.
Unless otherwise stated, phone screens and table
digitizers carry a lifetime functionality warranty. Special order parts
warranty may vary. Functionality includes manufacturer intended function. This
does not cover customer neglect due to breakage, damage, liquid, etc.
Laptop screens carry a limited 90 day warranty
for functionality. Special order parts warranty may vary. Functionality
includes manufacturer intended function. This does not cover customer neglect
due to breakage, damage, liquid, etc.
XO7 phone screens come with a limited LCD
breakage warranty. This does not cover breaking the digitizer or glass. This is
for the OLED or LCD of the screen cartridge. This can happen from pressure. If
the screen breaks, backlight malfunctions, displays incorrectly or has a
defect, we will replace this cost free for the first 90 days from the initial
repair completion date. After 90 days we will charge for labor and travel fees.
Liquid damage repair carries no guarantee. Due
to the nature of this service, we cannot guarantee how long a device will last
after repair or if it will make it out of the repair functioning fully. We do
our best. This is a pick up and return service only. We will inform the
customer of any issues and additional repairs needed during the service.
Data is the user’s responsibility and we carry
no responsibility or fault for missing or erased data. The user is responsible
for making backups. If possible, we will back the user’s data up at request for
an additional charge.
Computer and additional electronic repairs have
a 90 day labor warranty. Part warranty is based on manufacture’s provided
warranty. We can help facilitate warranty replacements but may have additional
service charges.
Device functionality is only warranted for the
service provided. If there is additional problems or the device ceases function
due to damage, Device Menders is not responsible for repair or replacement. If
possible we can offer additional service at cost.
